Yesterday, I went to see Robin Hood.
I honestly had no expectations of it surpassing my love for the Disney version. A talking fox and various other forest creatures? It’s not easy to beat.
However, I am happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Russell Crowe can be Robin Hood whenever he likes as far as I’m concerned.
But this is all completely irrelevant. Back to the point.
The movie had a quote that I have had stuck in my head like a bad 90’s pop song.
“Rise and rise again, until lambs become lions.”
It was on Robin’s sword, and I love it. More than I love Panera’s fuji apple chicken salad. [Which, mind you, is a LOT]
It means never give up. Never.
And I think it’s perfect for us, for this trip.
The majority of us are fairly new at everything we have been learning. The video, the journalism, the theology, it’s a lot for anyone to learn.
We’re little lambs. We’re learning.
And we’re taking what we learn, and using it in such a powerful way.
In the Dominican, I think we’ll become lions.
No matter what obstacles we encounter, we’ll overcome them. In one way or another, we will succeed. And I am so excited to watch it happen.
So bring it on.
